Preaching and Mission: A Pastoral Perspective by Osvaldo L. Motessi

As the author recounts, the idea for this book was born in late 1985, at FLET's request to Dr. Osvaldo Mottesi to write a textbook on homiletics or preaching. First published in 1989, Preaching and Mission has served to train men and women throughout our Spanish American world. In this updated third edition, the purpose remains the same as that which motivated its original writing: to have a text that can facilitate the preparation of those who proclaim the glorious message of the Gospel, and who can do so from an original and indigenous approach.

In this book, the student will find a comprehensive development of all topics related to preaching, beginning with the idea that originates the passion to be preached, passing through the biblical basis, the interpretation of the passage, the development of the theme, the purpose, the structure, and the presentation of the sermon.
